Carbon in Pulp (CIP) is a simple and cheap technique for recovery of gold which has been liberated into a cyanide solution as part of the gold cyanidation process. Click for Process Flow>>
There are two situations suitable for gold CIP production line: pulp after forth flotation process or gravity tailings; mudded oxidized ore.
Loading gold into carbon
Adding Carbon in the Leaching Tank; the carbon absorbs gold becoming gold loaded carbon.
Removal of gold from carbon
The final loaded carbon then is removed and washed by Carbon Screen and Washing Thickener before undergoing "elution" or desorption.
Electrowinning
The elution loaded solution passes through a Desorption Electrolysis System where the gold and other metals are attached to cathodes, made up of wire wool, by electrolysis.
